I opened my window this morning
To let the sunshine in,
I smiled, soaking in the warmth
Feeling happy and hopeful within.

Flowers blooming everywhere,
Birds chirping in the trees,
A clear blue sky with fluffy clouds
And a warm, gentle breeze.

I heard a piano being played
As church bells rang out somewhere,
I stood in silence and listened
What a wonderful start to the day!
