I came across this inspirational quote some time ago:

“The key to success is playing the hand you’re dealt like it was the one you wanted.”

I’m not sure who the original author of the quote is.

Nevertheless, I think it’s brilliant!

Life throws curve balls at us all the time, and as we grow through life we learn to take what we get and make the most of it.

I think what separates the extraordinary from the ordinary is the fact that they take what they’ve been given and then own it.

It’s not just about making the best of a bad situation.

It’s about taking a ‘bad situation’ and making it into an ‘opportunity’.

Take what life throws at you. Gratefully accept it. Appreciate the opportunity.

Take responsibility for it.

Then, skillfully and resourcefully, make the best possible use of that opportunity.

And do it with style.
