Reconnect, reflect, research

Things seem pretty crazy at the moment as we struggle to come to terms with this new normal.

Here are three things you can do to feel better during this quarantine time:

1. Re-connect with friends and family.

As we grow older, our circle of friends grows smaller. Life gets busy and relationships take a back seat. Use this time to call up your family and friends, old and new, and spend time nurturing your relationships. Thanks to modern technology, you can see each other, and even work on your hobbies together! You can video call them and cook together or even have a virtual karaoke session right in your living room!

2. Spend time with yourself.

This is the most important thing and yet the most neglected. When was the last time you had a bunch of time to yourself, with nowhere to be and nothing pressing to be done? Spend some time reflecting and introspecting – Are you happy with your life? What would you like to change about it, if anything? What are your biggest blessings?

Spend time on your hobbies. Write a journal. Start a blog. Write poetry. Try cooking. Try baking. Try writing a song. Try composing a tune. Draw. Paint. Doodle.

The list is endless. The message is simple – You need YOU time. Take it, now.

3. Do an online course.

Thanks to the wonderfully connected world we live in today, you can study almost anything under the sun online. Knowledge is virtually at your fingertips. There are tons of free courses and paid courses out there, depending on the level of knowledge you would like to acquire.

You can learn about beauty and fashion, or baking, or social media management, or data analytics.

It’s all there, take your pick.
