Ruminations Running Riot

I write to capture sentiments
like caterpillars in a glass jar;

words evolve into sentences, as
thoughts crystallize and acquire meaning;

bleeding out in black ink against white
my reverie captured in cursive:

a glacier, still and yet
melting into a crescive stream

flowing over pebbles
that are many centuries old;

gushing, words flow
a babbling brook in pursuit of a downhill path,

a river, burgeoning and untamed
powerful enough to sweep me away.

I write till my fingers ache
and my heart forgets to;

writing
to capture my thoughts
I realise
I am setting them free.
