Autumn has arrived

A Haiku on my favourite season, Autumn

Autumn reminds me that it’s okay to let go; to shed thoughts and ideas that serve me no longer. I can’t welcome the new if I’m still holding on to the old.

It’s okay to let go of preconceived notions of who I thought I wanted to become, and just learn to live in the moment, ‘becoming’ as I go, knowing the next season is around the corner and keeping my arms open to embrace it.

It’s okay to let go of abandoned dreams; they belonged to the person I was in the past, and have no place in my future.

It’s okay to let go of driving myself crazy trying to do something perfectly, and instead, doing it just because it’s fun and I enjoy it.

It’s okay to let go of the past, there’s an exciting future waiting for you;
Let go of the old, and make space for the new.
