I’d only recently begun going for regular walks. Armed with my camera, I’d set out every morning for a brisk walk, hopeful to click a nice picture or two of the city and its life.
When the lockdown began, my photography was all but over.
One morning I woke up to see the sun shining through the windows. It was such a beautiful day! And I was stuck inside!
Feeling a bit glum, I shuffled to the kitchen to make myself a cup of coffee. That’s when I noticed that the sun streaming in through the shutters was making a nice pattern across the floor in the living room.
I quickly got out my camera and clicked a picture.
I even made up a little rhyme to go along with it:
Sunlight streaming in through the shutters,
Making patterns all around,
Reminding me that even in darkness,
There’s always joy to be found!
