Get back in touch with that creative spark

Staying indoors with nowhere to go, most of us find we have a lot of time on our hands these days.

My social media feeds lately have been flooded with aesthetically pleasing pictures and videos of food, art, and music.

And, my goodness! I’m blown away!

I’m amazed by the  talents and skills my friends and acquaintances have apparently been keeping secret all along!

As children, we are full of creative imagination to keep boredom at bay. However, adulthood, with all its demands, does not usually afford us the time to explore, engage and create.

There are several hobbies and interests that I’ve lost touch with and even forgotten about over the years. (Like scrapbooking. Does anyone even do that anymore?)

I think it’s great that we’re getting back in touch with our creative spark and making the most of this awful time to create something beautiful and joyful.

As we wait for the world to heal, let’s take this time to remember forgotten hobbies, and indulge our imagination with some creativity and fun!
