Decades and deadlines

I’ve been feeling very enthusiastic about the new year 2020. Something about it makes me feel like it’s going to be a great year, I’m going to get a lot done and accomplish great things.

At least that’s how I’ve been feeling.

Then, this afternoon, right in the middle of my mid-day coffee (that’s between my late morning cuppa and my early evening cuppa), it hit me.

2020 isn’t just a new year, it’s the beginning of a new decade.

That means I have a ten-year timeline ahead of me!

Somehow that makes me feel very optimistic.

I always love it when I have long deadlines. A long term plan means I get to spend the first 80% of the time planning and thinking about what I’m going to do (read: chilling because I still have time before the deadline) and the last 20% of the time to get my ducks in a row and actually get stuff done.

So, happy new decade to you. And, well, stick around – you’ll probably begin to see something productive from me right around 2028 – 2029!

Ciao, till then!
